In Loving Memory of David Varnum

David Varnum was born on August 8, 1947 in Jackson County, GA to the late Harold Varnum, Sr. and the late Thelma Jones Varnum. He was called home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2020. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Maggie Harrison, Mary Sue Grimes, Betty Jean Morris, and Margie Clark.

David was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was also known by his CB name of “Hollow Tree”. He loved family and he loved the Lord. There was nothing he could not tell you about the Lord. David worked and retired from Ford Motor Company.

David leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Dorothy Nell Varnum; son, Doncrecia Redmond (Wendy) Varnum; daughter, Angelia Terese Varnum; brothers, H.T (Sue) Varnum of Thomasville, NC and Luther Varnum, both of Thomasville, NC, Harold Varnum, Jr., James (Helen) Varnum, and Tom Varnum, all of Commerce, GA; sisters, Helen Morris of Athens, GA and Linda Faye Cochran of Gainesville, GA; and a host of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday May 13, 2020 at Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce. Viewing will be held Tuesday May 12, 2020 from 2pm-7pm.
