Established in 2003 in Royston, GA, Dexter T. Sims Mortuary, LLC is a family-owned funeral home whose aim is to provide the community an affordable funeral and a high level of first-class and professional service in detail. Now, we would like to proudly announce and acknowledge the opening of our second location in Gainesville, GA.
My name is Dexter T. Sims. I am a licensed funeral director and licensed embalmer of this establishment. Being born and raised in Gainesville, GA, my vision and belief were to spend the necessary time and energy to open a location to serve the wonderful people of Gainesville and the surrounding communities. This vision has been firmly planted in my mind since I was eight years old. I pondered with ambition day-by-day, moment-by-moment, and night-by-night to bring this vision to fruition. With this quest to serve the people of this community, my emphasis is to concentrate on assisting others by helping them fulfill their spiritual aspirations during their time of need. For this opportunity, I am grateful and thankful. In addition to being licensed in the funeral industry, I also hold an insurance license for the state of Georgia that gives the funeral home the ability to assist and support families for all of their pre-planning needs. Furthermore, I am a graduate of Gainesville High School, Morehouse College, and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. Through these levels of education, I was able to gain the skills and knowledge to become an expert in my field of endeavors. Having a major in Management and a minor in Insurance along with the scientific aspect of the funeral service, I was able to understand the dynamics of the funeral business which are needed in the day-to-day operations as well as analyzing the insurance needs of families through a needs analysis.
Not only is assisting families during their time of need is of heightened importance, but the educational experience has given me the opportunity to specifically design a program to help protect families and their assets prior to death. The program allows individuals to honor their wishes and desires when planning their own service. It immediately relieves families from any financial burden that may arise during death. Lastly, it stops the cost of funerals from being affected by inflationary rates by completing your arrangements prior to death.
