Celebrating The Life of Sarah Lott

Sarah Francine Lott was born on June 24, 1951 in Gainesville, GA to the late Deacon Henry Lott and the late Agnes Maynard Lott. She was the youngest of 12 children. She was embraced and carried by the angels into eternal rest on May 29, 2022 at New Horizon-Lanier Park Nursing Home in Gainesville, GA. Francine was preceded in death by three sisters, Willie Mae Lott Stephens, Lois Lott Young, and Shirley Lott Dodd; five brothers, Willie T. Lott, Henry Lee Lott, Nathaniel Lott, Loye Lott, and Robert Lott.

Francine attended Fair Street and E.E. Butler Schools. She joined Cross Plains Baptist Church at an early age. She was a faithful member until her death. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, music, dancing, attending church, and fashion. Furthermore, she loved her different perfume fragrances. She was a “people person” and never met any strangers. She was also very kind, loving, and giving.

Francine is survived by her three siblings, Ruby Louise Evans, Betty Sue Allen, and Harold (Patricia) Lott, all of Gainesville, GA; special niece, Marilyn Ann Lipscomb; special nephew, Larry Lipscomb, both of Gainesville, GA; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday June 4, 2022 at 2pm at Cross Plains Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be Friday June 3, 2022 from 2pm-7pm at Dexter T. Sims Mortuary, LLC in The Rev. Charlie, Jr. and Conchita Sims Memorial Chapel. The family will receive family and friends from 6pm-7pm.
