Jonathan Lydell Surrency was born as the first triplet on April 7, 1981 in Greenville, SC. He was called home to be with the Lord on October 1, 2023 at Brightstar Hostess Homes, Inc. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joshua Mell Surrency; grandparents, Jimmie Bush and Carrie Lee Bush; and uncle, Travis G. Shoemaker.
Jonathan, affectionately known as “Jon”, was a graduate of Hartwell High School. He was a devoted member of New Birth Baptist Church in Royston, GA, where he will always be remembered.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his mother, Min. Mary Saddler of Bowersville, GA; father, Willie Lee Surrency of Bowersville, GA; brothers, Justin Odell Surrency of Bowersville, GA and Karrie Surrency of Elberton, GA; sisters, Connie Surrency of Lavonia, GA, Montene Surrency of Albany, GA, and Bonnie Surrency of New York; aunts, Martha Shoemaker of Hartwell, GA, Carolyn Shoemaker of Baltimore, MD, Ida Ruth Hamm of Bowman, GA, and Lois (Jimmy) Perry of Atlanta, GA; uncles, James Shoemaker of Royston, GA, Willie Shoemaker of Baltimore, MD, and Walter Allen Bush of Hartwell, GA; nephews, J.T. Shoemaker and Jeremiah Surrency, both of Bowersville, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday October 14, 2023 at 2pm at New Birth Baptist Church. Viewing will be Friday October 13, 2023 from 2pm-7pm. The family will receive family and friends from 5pm-7pm.
