Loretta Jean Cantrell Mott was born on February 7, 1959 to the late Nancy Grace Cantrell. She entered eternal rest on February 2, 2024. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ricardo “Ricky” Cantrell.
Loretta attended the Gainesville City School System. She was a member of The House of Praize Family Worship Center in West Point, MS. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Pruitt Healthcare in Toccoa, GA. She loved to watch television and her favorite movie was “Sister “Act”, where she watched every episode. She loved her family as well as all of her nieces and nephews. She had a heart of gold and would do anything to help whenever she was needed. Loretta’s outgoing personality allowed her to never meet a stranger.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her siblings, Mark Cantrell, Glenda Cantrell, and Julie Cantrell; nieces, Remeaka Cantrell, Satonya Cantrell, Courtney Cantrell, Jamequa Gandy, Champagne Cantrell, Nikki Cantrell, and Zaryhia Cantrell; nephews, Jeremiah Cantrell, Lashaun Cantrell, Demonta Cantrell, Jaquis Gandy, and Christopher Cantrell; aunt, Linda Cantrell; special friend, Diane Walker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday February 10, 2024 at 2pm at Dexter T. Sims Mortuary, LLC in The Rev. Charlie, Jr. and Conchita Sims Memorial Chapel. Viewing will be Friday February 9, 2024 from 5pm-8pm.
