Mr. Merrick Kelo Harrison (Big Pun) was born on September 16, 1976 in Gainesville, GA to Johnny Paul Harrison and Tami Jackson. Merrick was called home to be with the Lord on April 13, 2020. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Claude C. Harrison, Edna Harrison as well as Henry Butts (Hen).
Merrick worked as a warehouse worker at Kubota, Inc. He was a man who loved his children and everyone in his family greatly. Merrick had a strong faith in God and tried to exemplify his faith on a daily basis. During his free time, he would enjoy barbequing and playing card games with his friends and family, which he did very well.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his girlfriend, René Watson; daughters, Marecka Harrison, and Kee-lay Harrison; sons, JaTyce Harrison, Cambren Harrison, and Merrick K. Harrison Jr. (MJ); grandkids, Kash Harrison and Kaleigha Harrison; brothers, Travis “Boonk”(Tasha) Harrison , Quincy Kemon Harrison, and Steven (Delana) Jackson; grandmother, Pat Jackson; aunts, Betty (Bobby) Dukes, Claudine McCluskey, Edith Williams, Shirley Harrison, Sandra (Ronald) Neal, Vickie Harrison, Barbara Harrison, Lisa Harrison, Cheryl Maddox, and Valerie Stevens; uncles, Bobby (Linda) Harrison and Lamar Harrison; special friends, Rev. Darneau Randolph and Ronald Randolph; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be held Monday, April 20, 2020, at 1pm at Alta Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 19, 2020, from 3pm-6pm. Due to the Coronavirus mandate enforced by Governor Kemp, only 10 people at a time will be allowed for visitation. Furthermore, please be advised that only 10 people from the immediate family will be allowed to attend Graveside service.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Harrison, but I do know his young son, MJ. I have worked with MJ in his 3rd grade classroom this year. I want MJ to know how very sorry I am for the loss of his father. Please tell him that I’m thinking about him and praying for him during this sad time.
